Rosario Jane Baquiran-Ducusin (Jane) was born on October 20, 1943 in Aparri, Cagayan and raised in Tuguegarao City, Northern Luzon, Philippines. Jane attended Cagayan National High School and continued her post-secondary education at the Philippine College of Commerce (now known as the Polytechnic University of the Philippines), obtaining an Associate Diploma in Commercial Science. As a working student, she continued her studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in Accounting. Jane continued her secondary education at the University of Manila where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Foreign Service.

After being issued a Landed Immigrant Visa to Canada in 1969, Jane left the Philippines on March 1970 and resided in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Jane was immediately hired by the Bank of Montreal as an Accounting Analyst with the Head Office Accounting Department. In 1974, Jane was promoted to a management position as Systems Analyst with the Operations and Systems Division responsible for the analysis and reporting of Computer Systems availability and outages.

In 1980, Jane was relocated to the Scarborough Computer Complex in Scarborough, Ontario along with 850 families. She was given another promotion as a Financial Analyst reporting to the Administration and Financial Control Department, Computer Operations Division. Her responsibilities were mainly focused on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting. She was responsible for the requirements of the Office of the Senior Vice-President, Office of five Vice-Presidents and twenty Departments and Section Managers. Additionally, Jane was appointed to assist the Treasurer of the Recreational and Social Activities Committee (RASAC) in the capacity of Assistant Treasurer in charge of assisting and organizing the requirements of the different activities within the division. The three main activities were the Annual Children's Christmas Party, the Annual Chinese New Years Party and the Annual Adults Dinner-Dance Christmas Party, all very well attended. She was also appointed as an organizer of the Bank of Montreal Diversity Day and was given the responsibility of showcasing her home country, Philippines. She featured the history, customs and traditions, tourist areas, costumes, rattan furniture products and various Filipino delicacies. After 33 ½ years of uninterrupted service with the Bank of Montreal, she feels great pride and honour to be a part of a very respectable company with very distinguished colleagues.

Jane joined SOSA in 2009 and has been very active ever since. She has been elected as SOSA Secretary for 5 terms. She is responsible for all membership requirements, activity write-ups for local newspapers, ticket sales, venue set-ups and other various requirements.

Jane is also an active member in the community and is associated with the Block Rosary Crusaders of Scarborough (1984 to present), Prince of Peace choir member, the Cagayan
North Association of Ontario where she served as past president and currently Adviser (1993 to present), and member of the Bank of Montreal Cyber Pensioners (from 2003 to Present)

After a rewarding and fulfilling career, Jane now enjoys her retirement where she spends most of her time cooking, watching movies, gardening, dancing and traveling with family and friends. Jane loves spending time with her three grandchildren, Hailey (18), Jonathan (9) and Michael (6),
daughter-in-laws and a proud mother of two wonderful, loving and respectful sons Mark (Mia) and Mike (Janell).
